Looking back over a year of making always feels a bit like spreading everything out on the kitchen table - sketches, fabric scraps, half‑formed ideas, moments of doubt, and those small, satisfying yes moments when something finally comes together.
2025 has been a year of thoughtful creativity at Parade Handmade. Not rushed. Not noisy. But full of care, new collections, and pieces that have quietly made their way into other people’s lives.
This is a gentle round‑up of what was created this year - and a hopeful look towards what’s still unfolding.
Thoughtful Making in 2025
Rather than constant launches, this year was about adding meaningful pieces to the Parade Handmade collection both in house designs and those of my fabulously creative suppliers - designs that felt useful, joyful, and rooted in a slower, more intentional approach to craft.
Each collection brought something different, but all shared the same thread: careful making, quality materials, and a love for items that fit naturally into everyday life or mark moments that matter.
Jewellery Pouches from Celtic Fairy Creations and in house designs too: Everyday Luxury Gifts
The jewellery pouches continued to grow into one of the most loved collections this year. Soft leather pouches with velvet linings, satin drawstring cords and delicate bead detailing sat alongside the more playful sequin versions - all designed to feel like a small luxury.
They’ve been chosen as thoughtful gifts, travel companions, and bedside essentials. Practical, beautiful, and quietly indulgent, they’ve become pieces people reach for daily - which is always the greatest compliment.
Felt Appliqué Earrings: Colour, Play & Personality
One of the most joyful new additions to Parade Handmade in 2025 was the felt appliqué earrings collection. From bold florals to whimsical mermaids, these designs allowed for colour, storytelling, and a sense of fun.
Each pair begins as a hand‑drawn sketch, then becomes layers of carefully cut felt, sewn together and finished with sterling silver hooks. They’re playful statement pieces - designed to be worn with confidence and enjoyed.
Knits, Texture & Cottagecore Comfort
Texture played a strong role across the year, particularly within the knit collections. from Shoreline. These pieces leaned into softness, warmth, and a cottagecore sense of comfort - made to be worn, gifted, and lived with.
Knits have a way of slowing things down. Whether wrapped around shoulders on a blustery walk or gifted to someone who appreciates the care stitched into every row, they quietly become part of everyday rituals.
Gifts Chosen With Intention
One of the most heartening things about 2025 was how often customers chose pieces as intentional gifts. Thoughtful selections for birthdays, weddings, thank‑yous and milestones - not last‑minute fillers, but items chosen with care.
Knowing that something made at my table becomes part of another person’s story never loses its magic.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As the year draws to a close, attention is already turning gently towards what’s next. Some ideas are fully formed. Others are still half‑sketched or half made and waiting for the right moment.
2026 will continue this thoughtful approach to making - with space for creativity, refinement, and a few long‑waiting projects finally coming to fruition. The intention remains the same: to create meaningful, well‑made pieces that bring a little joy into everyday life.
