Oversized Tapestry Tote Bag: Flower Garden

Oversized Tapestry Tote Bag This is one of my Oversized Tapestry Tote Bags - a once off truly special piece issued only as one is completed. Each tote takes time, with machine work where possible, but much of the process is painstakingly hand-finished. The result is a bag that’s as sturdy as it is beautiful. Generously oversized, it’s perfect when you need serious capacity, yet elegant enough to carry as a dressy vintage style bag. It's creation was inspired by a 1920's film I saw last year when the female protagonist hopped in the back of an open top roadster to head off for the weekend. I can't remember the name of the film but I the trendy bag made a lasting impression. I knew right away that I had to design a tapestry tote bag collection and here we are.

This tote is 22'' long and 26'' wide at the widest part. The addition of a secure inner zipped pocket makes it practical and safe enough to use as a handbag and the handy outer split pocket gives you another convenient compartment to pop easy to reach items. Whether you’re heading to town, off to the beach, or just love the idea of a striking statement tote, this is a bag that does it all. Because each one is finished individually, no two are ever quite the same.

Easy to clean. Just sponge minor stains or markes or hand wash without spinning or wringing out. Instead, roll in a big towel to get most of the wet out and hang up in an airy place to dry. Keep out of direct sunlight when drying to prolong it's colour and it's life. 

Do not iron directly. Place a clean tea towel or hand towel over the bag and iron on a hot setting for a short time. I kept the first one ever for me and it's great so far. I carry all sorts of art gear and even my laptop though it's not strictly for that.
